Return Policy

01 | Returns & Exchanges 

We stand behind the quality of every garment we carry. If something isn't right, we ask that you read the following carefully before getting in touch.

We offer exchanges and store credit within 14 days of purchase. We do not offer refunds on change-of-mind returns (change-of-mind includes, but is not limited to: wrong size selected, change of preference, or no longer wanting the item. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law). All returns are assessed upon receipt and must meet the conditions outlined below.


02 | Eligibility

To be accepted for return, garments must be:

Unworn and unwashed
Free from any scent — including perfume, cologne, or body odour
Free from staining, marking, or contamination of any kind, including makeup, deodorant, food, beverage, and oils
Undamaged, with no pulls, snags, tears, abrasions, or alterations
Returned with all original tags and labelling attached and intact
In the same condition in which they were received

We ask that garments be tried on over clean skin, with care taken around collars, cuffs, and other areas prone to transfer. Many of our fabrics are natural fibre or delicately constructed — fragrance, perspiration, and surface contact can cause irreversible changes to hand feel, colour, and structural integrity.

All returns are accepted at the discretion of our team.


03 | Contamination & Damage on Return

Garments returned with staining, odour, contamination, or physical damage not present at the time of purchase will be deemed ineligible. This includes but is not limited to: makeup, deodorant, oils, food and beverage, perfume, cologne, body odour, pulls, snags, tears, pilling caused by wear, and any alteration to the fabric surface or structure. Such items will be returned to the sender at their expense without further correspondence.


04 | Damaged Items on Receipt

If a garment arrives damaged — whether through a fault in transit or an error on our part — please contact us at hello@oddeven.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photographs of the damage and the outer packaging. Claims raised outside this window may not be eligible for assessment.

We will review each case individually. Where transit damage is confirmed, we will arrange collection and offer a replacement, store credit, or refund as appropriate. Packaging should be retained until the matter is resolved, as it may be required for a carrier claim.


05 | Store Credit

Store credit is issued as a gift card redeemable in store at 124 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, or online at oddeven.com.au. Gift cards are valid for five years from the date of issue.


06 | Sale

Garments reduced by 30% or more are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange unless confirmed as faulty. Items purchased with an additional promotional or discount code are similarly final sale and carry no return entitlement.


07 | In-Store Purchases

Garments purchased in store may be returned in person during trading hours for exchange, subject to the same eligibility conditions above. We do not offer refunds on in-store purchases unless a fault has been assessed and confirmed by our team and no reasonable resolution is available.

08 | Return Shipping

All returns must be approved before dispatch. Once approved, we will issue a prepaid return label. Shipping costs are deducted from your store credit or invoiced prior to exchange dispatch.

For Australia:

Return only, $15 AUD.
Exchange, $30 AUD.

For International: 

Return only, $60 AUD.
Exchange, $100 AUD.

We recommend retaining proof of postage until your return has been received and confirmed.


09 | Unapproved Returns

Items sent back without prior approval will not be processed. Ineligible items will be returned to sender at the customer's expense. Eligible items returned without approval will be issued store credit subject to a 5% handling fee.


10 | Order Amendments & Cancellations

If you need to amend or cancel an order, contact us at hello@oddeven.com.au as soon as possible with your order number in the subject line. Once an order has been dispatched we are unable to make changes or redirect the parcel. Cancellations made prior to dispatch will incur a 5% processing fee to cover non-recoverable payment and administration costs.


11 | Sizing & Fit

We are happy to provide detailed measurements, fabric information, and honest fit guidance before you purchase. We would rather help you choose well than have a garment go unworn. Reach out at hello@oddeven.com.au and we will respond promptly.

Please note we do not offer refunds for items that do not fit, including sale garments and in-store purchases.


12 | Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you believe you have received a faulty or incorrect garment, please contact us at hello@oddeven.com.au as soon as possible after receipt. Include your order number and clear photographs of the item and its tag. We will assess each case individually and, where a fault or error is confirmed, arrange collection at no cost to you.

Confirmed faults will be resolved by way of replacement, store credit, or refund as appropriate. We work closely with our production partners and take quality seriously, your feedback helps us maintain the standard we hold ourselves to.


13 | Warranties

All garments are warranted for twelve months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and construction. This warranty does not extend to:

General wear over time
Pilling, fading, or softening through regular use
Damage resulting from improper laundering or care contrary to the garment's care label
Accidental damage, including pulls, tears, snags, or abrasion

Where a warranty claim is approved, we will repair rather than replace where it is reasonable and possible to do so, in keeping with our commitment to considered, lasting production. If repair is not possible, a replacement will be offered. If a replacement is unavailable, store credit or a refund will be arranged.

Claims are typically assessed within five working days, though some may require liaison with our suppliers and take a little longer. We will keep you informed throughout.
